SPP Chevo is a 385 MW solar power plant project in Montenegro which at the time was in the design and permitting phase with part of the required documents already obtained. The main challenge for project realisation, apart from the permitting process and the vast mountainous karst terrain, was the connection to the grid as the existing overhead line would need to be expanded and some upgrades were needed to the existing substations both of which were projects scheduled to be constructed by the local TSO.
